Place popcorn kernels in a large pot or saucepan over medium-low heat with the lid on.
Rotate kernels by shaking the pot every 20-30 seconds as they're heating up to prevent them from burning. Once they begin to pop, rotate them every 10-15 seconds.
When the popping begins to slow down and get close to stopping (but not completely silent), turn off the heat and transfer to a large bowl immediately to prevent the popcorn from burning.
Serve by itself with no toppings as a great, crunchy, low calorie snack.
