Air-Popped Popcorn

A great snack for in between meals, to take on the go, or to snack on during a nice movie night at home (obviously!). An easy, oil-free and healthy option for that crunchy craving.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup popcorn kernels

Equipment

  • medium saucepan

Method
 

  1. Place popcorn kernels in a large pot or saucepan over medium-low heat with the lid on.
  2. Rotate kernels by shaking the pot every 20-30 seconds as they're heating up to prevent them from burning. Once they begin to pop, rotate them every 10-15 seconds.
  3. When the popping begins to slow down and get close to stopping (but not completely silent), turn off the heat and transfer to a large bowl immediately to prevent the popcorn from burning.
  4. Serve by itself with no toppings as a great, crunchy, low calorie snack.
  5. Enjoy!
