Happy Holidays!
I’m pulling up a list of recipe options for the 2020 holiday season from the blog, putting them all in one place, and sharing what I’ll be eating for Christmas this year – though, despite all the lovely dishes I’ve made for the season this year, our plans at pretty minimal and I’m actually using the holiday break to focus less on cooking for celebrations and more on recipe testing for the more content new year.
For those you that are video-oriented, here’s my Holiday Recipe Playlist on YouTube (if you click on it, it’ll take you to the full playlist), and if you want the recipe roundup on the blog and don’t care what I’m eating/how I’m celebrating, scroll to the bottom!
Christmas Eve Dinner:
We’re doing Christmas locally with Dan’s family – keeping things small given the state of things. I’m not totally sure what’s on the menu for dinner, but we’ll be making a side dish (to be determined, but likely one of the recipes listed here) and my marbled chocolate pumpkin bread, which just released today! Multiple of my husband’s family members have Celiac’s (the original inspiration for primarily gluten-free dishes on this blog), so it’s made with oat flour but is super moist, rich and delicious.
Christmas Day:
We’re doing Christmas Day just the two of us at home. We may make plans for brunch with Dan’s family but at this point, it seems it will be figured out last minute, perhaps even during dinner thei night before. We’ll see! If we do end up at home just us for the day, we’ll probably enjoy a holiday movie (or The Office; we’ve been making our way back through the show for the who-knows-how-many-th-time) and might make my sweet potato lasagna to enjoy for dinner.
And that’s it! No plans for a New Year celebration, and we’ll bid 2020 goodbye, happily, and roll into the 2021 with more recipes!
The Roundup:
Below is a roundup of the recipes I’ve made this year and this holiday season that could be a perfect addition to your menu. I’ve got a range recipes, from entrees to desserts. I hope you get inspired and try some out to share with your family this year. I hope you enjoy, have a wonderful holiday celebration and a wonderful New Year celebration!
